About
Mr. Apolskis’ practice encompasses work with health care organizations, such as hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, therapy providers, hospices, clinical laboratories, diagnostic testing facilities, durable medical equipment suppliers, and related entities.
In the course of his practice, Mr. Apolskis counsels clients on a wide variety of legal and regulatory matters, including licensure, Medicare conditions of participation, billing, coding, privacy, anti-kickback, self-referral, and false claim matters. He also advises clients on compliance plans, and serves as counsel in governmental audits, investigations and administrative proceedings.
Mr. Apolskis has substantial experience advising clients on all aspects of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, including issues related to coverage, medical necessity, prospective payment systems, physician RBRVS, and cost-based reimbursement. He also represents health care providers and suppliers in Medicare and Medicaid disputes and appeals.
In addition, Mr. Apolskis’ practice includes the formation and organization of health care-related entities, providing general counsel to start-up and established organizations, and structuring and negotiating transactions and new business arrangements.
