With a doctorate in chemistry, Mr. Rutt brings technical and legal expertise to the table when assisting clients with patent counseling, IP licensing and agreements, patent landscaping and clearance opinions, patent prosecution, patent litigation support, trade secrets, and trademarks. As the editor for the firm’s blog, Nano & Cleantech Blog, Mr. Rutt’s experience as a writer and presenter with respect to nanotechnology and the law is invaluable. His experience includes nine years of hands-on research in polymer synthesis and morphological studies, and his experience in private industry includes two years of corporate chemical research with NTT in Tokyo, Japan.
